About Mrs. Blackmon
I’m very excited to welcome you to Talent Development! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Blackmon and this is my seventeenth year of teaching elementary school. It is my thirteenth year at Bain. I am a National Board Certified educator, and I have a Master’s Degree in literacy and an AIG certification to work with gifted students. I have found no other place that I love to teach more than Bain. I feel incredibly fortunate for every year that I have been able to work with the families of this community. Their support is unparalleled! I enjoy new challenges and am looking forward to finding even more new ways to bring our TD curriculum alive for your children.
Beyond my teaching and learning, I am also a wife and very happy mom of three! My husband is an engineer so he keeps us on our toes at home when it comes to math and science. We have two sons who are 13 and 12 respectively. In addition to being in the Blackmon family, they are already proud members of the “Bain Family” also! It is hard to believe I will have a sixth and eighth grader this year. We also have a four year old little girl who is sweet as pie and keeps us wildly entertained! We have a beautiful black lab/collie mix that we rescued four years ago because she needed a forever home. She is easy to love and certainly completes our busy household!
There are a few important things to let you know about the Talent Development program at Bain this year. Below is my list of goals for the school year:
It is my goal to challenge and prepare each of your children for incredible success and inspire them to become lifelong learners!
Fondly,
Mrs. Jennifer Blackmon
